Version 2026-10-01, in effect from 1 October 2026.
Which cookies the AskTax website sets, and why. There are only the ones it needs to work.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser, so that it can recognise your browser on the next page or visit. Some are needed for a website to work at all; others (such as analytics or advertising cookies) are optional and should only be set with your permission.
2. The cookies we use
The AskTax website uses only cookies it needs to work. We set three of them ourselves; the fourth is set by Cloudflare, which protects our database provider. None is used to track you across other websites, and we do not use analytics or advertising cookies.

How long
sb-rzqhvnyhbicvqgyckvra-auth-token
split into sb-rzqhvnyhbicvqgyckvra-auth-token.0, .1, … when it is large
Keeps you signed in: it holds your sign-in session so the website knows it is you.
Strictly necessary
Set when you sign in. Up to 400 days, renewed while you use the site; deleted when you sign out.
sb-rzqhvnyhbicvqgyckvra-auth-token-code-verifier
with sb-rzqhvnyhbicvqgyckvra-auth-token-flow-<id>-code-verifier and sb-rzqhvnyhbicvqgyckvra-auth-token-flows-code-verifier
A random, one-time value that ties a sign-up or sign-in email, or a Google sign-in, to the browser that started it, so that nobody else can use it. It contains nothing about you.
Strictly necessary
Set when you sign up, ask for a sign-in email or start signing in with Google. Removed when a Google sign-in completes; otherwise it expires after up to 400 days.
asktax_cookie_consent
Remembers your choice in the cookie banner (“Only necessary” or “Accept all”), with the version of this policy and the date you chose.
Strictly necessary
12 months.
__cf_bm
third-party, on supabase.co
Set by Cloudflare, which protects our database and sign-in provider (Supabase) from bots, when your browser contacts it to sign you in or answer a question. It helps tell people from automated traffic. We do not control it, and some browsers block it.
Strictly necessary (third party)
30 minutes.
Analytics and advertising
None. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

The website does not use local storage or similar browser storage to follow you either. The AskTax apps do not use cookies; they keep your sign-in on your device.
3. Other companies' websites
When you pay by card, you do it on Stripe's checkout page, and if you sign in with Google, you do it on Google's sign-in page. Those are Stripe's and Google's own websites, and their cookie policies apply there.
4. Your choice
On your first visit, a cookie banner asks you to choose between Only necessary and Accept all; closing it counts as “Only necessary”. The two choices do the same thing today, because there are no optional cookies. If we ever add one — for example, analytics to understand which pages are used — it will load only after you choose “Accept all”. We would first update this policy, and the banner would ask you again.
You can change your choice at any time, with the button below or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. If you block the cookies above, you will not be able to sign in.
